Serving the Bay Area

Washers & dryers, out of tight spots.

I disconnect, pull out, move and set back washers and dryers in laundry closets, stacked units, narrow hallways and steep stairs. You book and pay through Taskrabbit, so every job is covered by their platform protections.

Tight Squeezy washer and dryer moving: a front-load washer rolled out of a laundry closet on appliance dollies over a floor runner. Tight spaces. We make room.
24″compact stacked
27″full-size

Most of these jobs come down to a few inches. Compact stacked units are about 24″ wide; full-size washers and dryers are about 27″. I plan the path before I lift.

Who you’re booking

A

Hi, I’m Ayoub. I’m a Taskrabbit Tasker based in Daly City, and washer and dryer moves are some of the jobs I get most.

Laundry in Bay Area homes is usually squeezed into the tightest spot in the place: a closet off a hallway, a stacked pair under a staircase, a garage corner down a flight of stairs. That’s the work I like.

What I do

Washers

~27″ WIDE
  • Shut off the water valves and disconnect the hot and cold hoses
  • Drain the hoses and the drain line so nothing spills on the way out
  • Unplug and slide it out without scratching the floor
  • Set it back, reconnect the same hoses, level it and check for leaks

Dryers

~27″ WIDE
  • Unplug and detach the vent duct
  • Move it out without crushing the duct or the cord
  • Reattach the vent duct and plug it back in when it goes back

Gas dryer? Message me before booking so I can plan it.

Stacked units & tight spaces

CLOSETS · STAIRS · ALCOVES
  • Unstack and restack stacked pairs, stacking kit included
  • Room to room, floor to floor, or out to the garage or curb
  • Loading into your own vehicle or rental truck
  • Floor runners and corner protection on every job

For long stair carries, I can bring a second registered Tasker once you approve it in the Taskrabbit chat.

Who books me

Laundry room remodels

The washer and dryer have to come out before new cabinets or plumbing go in.

New floors

Installers need the laundry room empty. I clear it and put everything back.

Move-in and move-out

Getting appliances out of a laundry closet that was built around them.

Landlords & managers

Unit turnovers and swapping an old appliance for a new one.

How booking works

  1. Open my profile

Tap any “Book on Taskrabbit” button on this page.

  2. Pick a time and describe the job

Tell me which appliance and which floor. A photo of the space helps me bring the right gear.

  3. I do the job, you pay on Taskrabbit

Payment and support stay on the platform.

Before I arrive

  • Measure the path. Doorways, hallway turns and stair landings, not just the appliance.
  • Find the shutoff. Know where the water valves behind the washer are.
  • Clear the area. Empty the washer and dryer and the space in front of them.
  • Send photos. One of the appliance, one of the route out.

Questions

Do you install brand-new appliances?

I reconnect the same connections I disconnected. A new install that needs new water, gas or electrical lines, or a permit, needs a licensed plumber or electrician.

Can you take it to my new place?

I move appliances within your home and load them into your vehicle or rental truck. Ask me about your situation in the Taskrabbit chat before booking.

What if something leaks or gets damaged?

Because you book through Taskrabbit, the job falls under Taskrabbit’s own client protection program. Their terms explain what it covers.

Can I pay you directly?

No. All bookings and payments go through Taskrabbit. That keeps the job covered for both of us.

Stuck washer or dryer?

Send me a photo through Taskrabbit and I’ll tell you what it takes. First time on Taskrabbit? You get $10 off your first task.
